Spiritual Guidance...Right Beneath My Feet

I asked my Spiritual Guidance Team to be with me today as I walked toward one of my sit spots on our property.

I told them I was open to receive any guidance or information that they wanted to share.

I sat there for at least 20 minutes, just enjoying the sights and sounds and smells around me.

I had taken my shoes off because I like to have my feet in the grass to get grounded.

At one point I looked over at my shoes and I noticed that there was a caterpillar perched on top of one of my shoelaces. It wasn't moving so I thought perhaps it wasn't alive. 

I wondered how long it had been perched on my shoe. Had it gone for a walk with me when I walked around the property earlier?

A quiet voice inside of me prompted me to take a picture of the caterpillar on my shoelace. But I ignored the prompting.

After awhile, I remember thinking that I hadn't really received a message. "There's no one here," I told myself."

Then I looked over and noticed that the Caterpillar had moved off of my shoe and was in the grass crawling around right beside my feet. 

Caterpillar had been there all along, waiting for me to notice them.

I think that is the message that my Guides wanted me to receive. They're always there with me, waiting for me to notice their presence. Sometimes walking silently with me.

People often ask me how I can tell when I am receiving Divine Guidance through nature. One sign is when a Being from the more than human world is behaving in an unusual way. This week a tarantula was following my husband. That’s unusual! Another way is when the Being shows up in an unusual place. The top of a shoe is not a place where I have ever seen a caterpillar before. So eventually I realized that it was a Divine message.

Also the fact that I was able to see so clearly the many feet of the Caterpillar moving forward together is another noteworthy aspect of the encounter. So many pairs of feet, all moving in sync with each other. It feels like that signifies the presence of many different Guides, all walking simultaneously with me.

I love knowing that I have support from the Universe. We all do. All we have to do is ask. And then slow down and notice what shows up. Remember to be open to the Guidance showing up in a way that wasn’t expected. The Universe does have a sense of humor !
